About

Hi, I'm
Dr. Andrea Eriks, LMHC
Therapist, Author, Educator. Truth-Teller
Helping Couples reclaim their voice,
body, and belonging
My Background and Approach
I'm Dr. Andrea Eriks, a licensed mental health counselor and clinical sexologist. For more than a decade, I’ve walked alongside hundreds of individuals and couples—especially women—as they unlearn shame, heal sexual wounds, and begin the journey back to their own bodies, their truths, and their longings.
I specialize in working at the intersection of sexuality, intimacy, faith, and emotional healing, where so many people feel alone, confused, or stuck. Whether the pain comes from religious messaging, cultural expectations, relational disconnection, or simply the wear and tear of life, I’m here to offer something different: a space where the hard questions are welcomed, and where growth is honest, embodied, and deeply human.
I’m the author of She Wants: A Married Woman's Guide to Exploring Desire, Healing Sexual Shame, and Building True Intimacy—a bold and compassionate invitation for women to reconnect with desire, agency, and voice in their relationships. It’s the first in a larger body of work that aims to heal the cultural and relational disconnect so many of us carry in our intimate lives.
When I’m not writing, teaching, running a group practice, or sitting with clients in the therapy room, you’ll find me with my family. I live in Northern Indiana with my husband, our children, our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (Mila and Aarika), and our much-adored goldfish, Bubbles. We’re a simple crew who loves camping in the fall, chasing sunshine over spring break, and building a life anchored in truth, connection, and laughter.
This work is personal. I believe healing is possible. And I believe your story—messy, beautiful, complex—is worthy of being told in full.
